We should have known when the great Coach K alluded to this kid having the "green light" in an interview even before Kyrie's short lived freshman season for the Blue Devils began, but we slept... He started the season with an incredible 8 game stretch for the power house Blue Devils but again we slept....after not playing again until late in the NCAA tournament, Irving stepped in and poured in 27pts against the Arizona Wildcats but still we slept! Maybe its his laid back, easy going demeanor, or the unassuming speed and the way he makes it all look so easy. Either way, I don't think anyone saw it coming to this magnitude.......but the 2011 #1 overall pick and reigning Rookie of the Year, Kyrie Irving is taking the league to Uncle Drew's basketball skillz camp!!! The most unorthodox, crafty, ultra smooth, sickest handle and poised guard play I've seen from a pg this young in a while...maybe ever. Not rushed, not shaken or over taken by the moment. Always pacing himself.....knows when to go and when to slow..... SUPER CLUTCH with enough ewws and aahhhs to make Rucker Park sound like a library!!!!
